The Postal Mail has a Notary Public available during business hours to help provide convenient notarization services for our community. Be sure to be prepared for your notary visit by bringing a photo ID (such as a driver’s license, passport, or other state or government issued ID).
Once your documents are notarized, our staff can make copies and/or mail the documents if these services are needed to provide you with one-stop service.

Why Documents Are Notarized
Notarization in its simplest form is a signature witnessing that adds validity to a signed document. A Notary Public serves as a quasi-public official who verifies the identity of the signing party and that the signing party signed the document in the presence of the Notary Public. Certain documents, such as a Power of Attorney or Health Directive, must be notarized to take legal effect.
